The Lost Man by Jane Harper

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I found this listed in www.fivebooks.com “Best crime fiction of 2019” by Val McDermid (who should know) and I have also been looking for fiction set in interesting and real geography. I thoroughly enjoyed this setting of the isolating personally and isolated physicality of the Australian outback. The remote circumstances are almost inconceivable to me but they are described very powerfully and the landscape is an essential part of the plot. It includes a map which is a big tick for me!
I would certainly read another by Jane Harper.

View all my reviews on Goodreads, they are mostly as short as this one!
