Local4Global

This has now entered a second five-year phase funded by the Department for International Development (DFID). The objective is to ensure a global dimension in the school curriculum. Local development education centres in the London and South East England Regions have been working with teachers and other educators. Having been involved, with others, in establishing the strategic approaches I am now part-time coordinator of Local4Global. One of the main outcomes is a learning community of teachers engaged in global issues with a focus on this website... Local4Global

Geographical AssociationGA

I am a consultant to the GA - the professional body for geography teachers. This has included:

  • leading on a sustainable communities project;
  • supporting the Action Plan for Geography;
  • as a Regional Subject Adviser on the New Secondary Curriculum;
  • developing online CPD units for the Diploma Support Programme.
