This was an experiment. I have tried to do what the app Storify does from a Twitter feed. I couldn’t find anything in Facebook which externalised the narrative in the same way and the information on APIs to do so looked dodgy. I have copied the Facebook text and images into the WP editor. But FB or WP doesn’t seem to allow the photos to be displayed, and no captions and comments obviously. Oddly, the images do appear in the WP editor, ”preview changes’, and in the newsletter that the blog sends out to subscribers, so the links to the image files are contained in the HTML.
I know I could change the ‘Alt-image’ text that has been determined by Facebook but I was looking for a quick fix.
The (FB) is a link to Margarets’ FB timeline for that date. As our FB has ‘friends-only’ security you will need to be logged in and a ‘friend’. These are mostly Marg’s photos taken on her Nikon Coolpix A900 and transferred wirelessly to her mobile phone and then posted to Facebook. My Flickr album is a mix of mobile photos and my Canon DSLR here.

Around Kings Cross station in the evening sunshine…
After a pleasant journey through Kent and France, this interesting sky awaited us as we alighted the train in Brive this evening. Yes a heavy downpour followed and then clear skies as we arrived in Le Bugue. Lovely location beside a river.

The forecast was for thunderstorms today but pleased to say the sun shone on us from start to finish! Morning in the village of la Roque Gageac and afternoon in the old town of Sarlat. Loving the Dordogne area.

A day of adventures around Le Bugue. We walked alongside the River Vezeres this morning and had an encounter with an unexpectedly tame rabbit in the middle of nowhere. We then met a dog walker who kindly warned us in French and gestures of snakes! Soon after we came across a dead one on the path! Interesting. This afternoon we walked up through some woods on a rather steep overgrown path. Great views but a rather scary descent! We finished the afternoon with a visit to some caves.

Another great day…
But a bit wet!
